Cap and hat embroidery digitizing
Cap embroidery is harder than flat garments. The front panel curves, the center seam is raised and most cap frames hold designs only around 2 inches (50 mm) tall. A cap file is digitized differently: it sews from the center out, adds compensation for the way the cap fabric pushes and pulls, and keeps lettering simple enough to read at that size.

What you get
Center-out sewing
Starting in the middle keeps the design aligned across the seam and reduces gaps.
Push and pull compensation
Caps move under the needle. We adjust the shapes so circles stay round and borders meet.
Readable at small size
Lettering is tuned to stay clear at cap height instead of closing up.
Puff option
Add 3D puff to lettering for the raised look caps are known for.

Patch Digitizing questions
Do you make the physical patches?
No. We create the digitized stitch file and vector art you need to produce patches on your own machines or with your supplier.
What border style do you digitize?
Satin borders sized for your edge. Tell us your border width in the notes.
Can you digitize a patch from a small logo?
Yes. We often redraw the logo as vector art first so the stitch file follows clean edges.
Can patches include 3D puff?
Yes. Raised lettering can be added to a patch design.
