    Good to know
    • Works with PDFs that contain real text. Scanned PDFs (photos of pages) are not supported yet.

Private by design: your file is processed on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.

Get editable text out of a PDF

This tool is made for text PDFs, such as documents saved from Word, letters, reports and emails. It rebuilds the text as paragraphs and headings so you can edit it.

It does not copy the exact page layout, tables as tables, or pictures. For a quick edit of the words, that is often enough.

    Questions

How do I convert a PDF to Word for free?

Choose the PDF, tap Convert to Word and open the saved .docx file in Word or Google Docs. No account is needed.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion happens in your browser, so the document stays on your phone or computer.

Why is my converted file missing pictures or tables?

This simple converter copies text, headings and paragraphs only. For pictures and exact layout you would need a full desktop converter.

Can it convert a scanned PDF?

Not yet. A scan is a picture of a page, so there is no text to copy. You would need a tool that reads text from pictures (OCR).
