    Good to know
    • Compression removes some detail. Keep your original picture.
    • Use JPG for photos. PNG screenshots may not get much smaller.
    • iPhone HEIC photos are not supported yet.

Private by design: your file is processed on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.

    How to use it

    1. Tap Add pictures and choose your photos.
    2. Keep the suggested quality and width, or change them.
    3. Tap Make smaller.
    4. Open the saved picture or ZIP file.

Shrink photos for email and forms

Phone photos can be several megabytes, which is too big for many email and upload forms. Reducing the width to 1600 pixels and the quality to about 70% usually makes them far smaller and still looks fine on a screen.

JPG is the best choice for photos. Screenshots saved as PNG may not shrink much.

    Questions

How do I make a picture smaller?

Add the picture, keep the suggested quality and width, and tap Make smaller.

    What quality should I choose?

About 70% is a good balance. Use 85% or more for pictures you will print.

What does the width setting do?

It limits the longest side in pixels. A smaller width makes a much smaller file.

    Is my picture uploaded?

No. It is compressed on your own device.
